FIRST PHASE INITIATIVE

As we face today's realities, we must intentionally respond to a changing world, changing methods and a church in need of change.  It is vitally important that we function as a missional church with the primary goal to win the lost and make disciples.  These are changing times.

The fulfillment of our Virginia Mission and Vision requires that we continue to focus upon our overarching eight commitments; however, as we engage our commitments, God wants each leader and every church to move to the next level of effective ministry.  While our core values and the truths of Scripture are immutable, we should constantly reexamine our methodology.  As we look to the future, we must transform ourselves before we can transform our church.

Moving to the Next Level is an ongoing initiative to expand the capacity of our pastors, leaders and laity.  The first phase of this initiative will call for a series of sessions for just Virginia pastors and spouses.  These four sessions will focus upon various segments of churches based upon morning worship attendance; 0-99; 100-249; 250-499; and 500 and above.  This first phase will provide a foundation for the development and strengthening of covenant ministry groups.

Listed below are the dates for the various sessions including special guests.  Every pastor and spouse are asked to make necessary arrangements to come and be a part of this first phase and process of moving to the next level.  The format is casual and content will address the unique challenges and needs for each of the specific groups.  There will be time for instruction; however, a large portion of the sessions will be devoted to dialogue and interacting ministry insights.
