A new project will also be introduced this year as we ask that you consider supporting orphanages which are operated by Church of God World Missions and located in different areas of the world. Specifically, Virginia is being asked to assist three of these orphanages:
1) Casa Agape Hogar (project #715-0123) located in Managua, Nicaragua ministers to approximately 24 children at the present time. The possibilities are greater as the finances are made available in the future. This orphanage is the fulfillment of a vision by Bienvenido Lopez, a former Nicaraguan overseer, whose heart was touched by children who had been physically and sexually abused. This home for children was built by funds from Children of the World, North Georgia churches and individual donors. This home provides physical, emotional, and
2) Phoebe Grey Orphanage (project #101-9044) near Monrovia, Liberia. Presently there are over 100 orphans who call this place of compassion their home. The campus has seven buildings including their own school. The primary need now is for operational funds to help carry on this ministry of compassion to these children many of whom are the result of the civil war in that area.
3) Hope for the Children (project #102-9059) is a child development center located in Kiambu, Kenya not too far from Nairobi. This facility provides food and education for over 500 needy children. This center also provides information and training for mothers of the area concerning nutrition, family planning, HIV/AIDS and other issues.
