Ministry on the Margins at Newbern COG

We have seen God manifest Himself in salvation, healing, deliverance, and refreshing time and time again.

For the past 28 years, I have been leading the Newbern Church of God as their pastor. Newbern Church of God is a traditional Pentecostal Church with a contemporary flair. We are excited about our relationship with God and excited about worship. In fact, there was a theme that we used "The Church That Excitement Built."

On any given Wednesday night, our youth pastor has bused in students from the local area. The church provides them a full-course meal and then transitions them to the Youth Center to teach them about the love, mercy, and grace of Jesus Christ.

Some few months ago, a blind man and his wife started attending our church; they did not have an automobile. The church felt the need to assist them in purchasing a vehicle for his wife to drive. On that Sunday morning, an offering was received, and enough money was donated to buy them an SUV Four-Wheel Drive vehicle. They have been very pleased with the vehicle and have not missed a service since.

God has blessed our church with several senior adult ladies living on a limited income. The church council and pastor felt they might need assistance from time to time. So a fund was created to assist when needed.

From time to time, our church donates to Daily Bread and the Newbern Fire Department. Also, we have free meals for the community on several different occasions.

The Ladies Ministries feed the needy families of the community at Thanksgiving and Christmas. The food boxes have all the items needed for a full meal for the holidays. The ladies also collected and donated to a Women's Shelter in an adjoining county; it was enough linen to service the entire shelter.

Without question, God has blessed us without measure.

To God be the Glory for the great things He is doing at the Newbern Church of God.
